NAB is seeking your involvement in : Volunteering services in Project Management: Developing projects proposals, editing and drafting report in English, Translating Nepali to English and vise-versa, developing capacity building training curricula, Teaching English language Financial support: Construction of NAB office building: NAB has planned to construct 5 story office building in its own site within ring road of Kathmandu. once we succeed to achive this we will get rid of from spending a huge amount in rent. The expected total budget for construction is USD 300000. The building accommodates Braille printing press, audio books production unit, Training hall, and administration (Your support in Cash/kind in any form/amount is welcomed) Scholarships: About 4000 blind and partially sighted children receiving school education ( 6 to 16 years) education in integrated, segregated , community and institutional set up school in Nepal. Yet, 90% blind children are still out of the school because of limited opportunity. Similarly, 70-80 students complete secondary level education annually. Few of them receive scholarship for continuation of higher education. (your sponsorship / support for such alarming situation is highly appreciated) Equipment and Devices: we want to develop our Braille press as one of the reliable and competitive press to meet the demand of Braille text and reference books in Nepal. For this cause, we are seeking your assistance to expand the press with additional Braillo 200 and graphic embossers to meet the burning needs of our Nepali blind students. Apart from this, we also accept your cash and kind support for white cane, play back tools, slate/styles and magnifiers for low vision people.
